Paddington sells out

Paddington eating Marmite®? It's just not on!

Now let's get this straight Mr Ad Man – Paddington eats marmalade, point blank. Your exploitation of this minor for commercial purposes is just bear [sic] faced cheek.

As if sweet toothed bear's would go for the salty glutamate ladened spread in the iconic jar.

Paddington's creator, Michael Bond, agrees: in an article in The Times he is quoted as saying: "Although Paddington found the sandwich interesting, bears are creatures of habit. It would require a good deal more than the combined current withdrawals from Northern Rock to wean him off marmalade, if then."
