Cheaper Insurance

Yes, I know insuring my car is nothing to do with food! But, as today we've been to the hospital I've nothing foodie to write – unless you want me to go on about the food at the Leicester General Hospital when I was in there in February – that could fill its own blog for years! So what about this cheap insurance? Earlier this year the car insurance was due for renewal so I shopped around using both and Then I came across a 'cashback' site called Quidco. By buying through them they were offering £100 'cashback' – the way it works is that they pay you whatever cashback the supplier is offering. They take the first £5 in any year as their fee. Too good to be true? I though so, but as I was going to buy The Prudential's insurance anyway because they were offering free 'full' breakdown recovery/at home etc, I though I may as well give it a try.

Well today I checked this months bank statement and to my surprise there was a payment of £95 from Quidco.

The original cost of my insurance was £185 (including free full recovery services) after cashback this is reduced to £90.

Yes, that's £90 for a years fully comprehensive cover with recovery. Brilliant!
